Pastor Mark came to FFBC in June 2018. He has a passion for communicating God’s truth in a way anyone can understand and apply. Pastor Mark’s strong desire is to help others know Jesus and grow in their faith. His life’s mission is to be a disciple who makes disciples.

Pastor Mark has been in ministry for twenty-four years, serving as Lead Pastor for twenty-one of those years. He has served in large and small churches.

He earned his Doctorate in Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018. He received his Masters of Theological Studies in 2001 from Beeson Divinity School, which is part of Samford University in Birmingham. He also earned a B.S. in Marketing & Management from Troy University in 1996.

Pastor Mark is the author of 4 Invitations, a book that describes Jesus’ pathway to make disciples. He is also the co-host of Church Leadership Podcast, along with his best friend in ministry, Andy Frazier. Mark also serves as the Lead Disciple-Making Strategist for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.

He’s been married to Tasha for 25 years and they have 4 children and a son-in-law. He’s an avid Troy sports fan, Mets fan and loves to fish, read, and spend time with his family.
